First residents of many diplomats resided in KOBE

KOBE is known as the place of first arrival of many foreigners in Japan. For instance, a landing of ship from China at KOBE-Habor Land.

Located in KITANO of KOBE city, at the South of Sannomiya, there maintained in original manner of many residents of diplomates from England, German, France and many others.

Noticeably, ones can easily distinguish the different styles and design between each of them without much attention glancing at the hanging flags.

Guess, the second and the third pictures, are these the construction of what countries...:)

Suma beach

By cable car gone up to the top of the mountain, these views were captured. Along the beach seeing many buildings is the 1st picture and the second one is Suma port. Because the weather was so unfriendly which a fall of rain started to drop at the middle of the trip, a shot of photo was so unsatisfied. Evidently, the first pic can foggily be seen.

Types of Sakura

Sakura, means cherry blossom, is recognised as the most famous flower represented of Japan. The begin of blossomming of sakura denotes a moving of winter season toward spring season. Sakura blossomming all over Japan during the spring. Although it is also a starting period of raining season and the rain may be unexpected falling down. Many people still make their plan or organize their picnic to enjoy seeing Sakura. Oji Koen is one of the most popular zoo and genden for Sakura, however, Sumaura Koen which is a beach garden is chosen for this year trip.
The first picture is the most well-known type of Sakura which is called Someiyoshino. If noticeably observed, it is not pure white color, it is rather a soft pink and its branches are red. Please notice the differences of these two pictures. Unfortunately, I was neglect to record and remember the name of the second picture..., :D

A new Japanese friend, Mika san

Mika works as administrative staff in Academic Affairs Office of GSIC of KOBE University. Mika San is a very helpful and outgoing (yasashi) person. We got to know each other when she was a facilitator for a study tour to Hokkaido.

Today is an unofficial trip organised by Yuko-San, JICE coordinator, for sakura season's picnic at Sumaura Koen. This is the second time that we are enjoying going out together.
